As people watch their energy and food bills rise, many households are reconsidering how they spend their wages. Entertainment such as cinema trips and days out are one area where readers are cutting back. "Professional pantomimes tickets cost up to £37 per person" said Panto Dame Matt Streuli, "which is why we're excited to offer an affordable alternative; a family ticket with us is just £31!"

Iver Heath Drama Club are in the final weeks of rehearsal for their 2023 pantomime, Aladdin. The South Bucks community amdram group, established in 1947, welcomes of members of all ages and abilities. They rehearse every Wednesday offering a positive outlet for the community. Profits from shows along with grants and local support help fund the community group. This January's show is directed and written by Lee Hall, who is a self-published author from Reading: "I'm so proud of our community who pull together to put on a great family fun show. It doesn't always go to plan but our shows are always a lot of fun."

Aladdin takes place in the city of Hagall where our hero with a heart of gold is on a mission to help the poor with his brother, Boris Rishee Wishee Washee, and his outrageous mother, Widow Twanky. The dastardly Abanazar has evil plans to take the throne from Princess Jasmine using the magic held in a certain lamp. Packed with laugh-out-loud comedy, singing and dancing this is a modern family show for all ages. Your adventure begins at the Iver Heath Village Hall, near Slough and Uxbridge, from Saturday 28th January 2023.

Iver Heath Drama Club provides a much loved and valued service for everyone in and around South Bucks.

We're a small not-for-profit community group run by volunteers based in Iver Heath, which is near Denham, Uxbridge and Slough. Established in 1948 we have over 40 active members, aged between 7 and 80 from all backgrounds and parts of the community.

Our club is all inclusive. This means that we have members who have Physical, Mental and Learning Disabilities. We meet every Wednesday at the Iver Heath Village Hall providing a positive outlet for our community.

Each January we perform our village Pantomime to over 450 people, the profits help fund the club and the next show.
