Allied Steel Buildings Inks Sponsorship Deal with NASCAR Canada

[Toronto, ON - September 2007] Allied Steel Buildings is proud to announce it is now an Official Partner of NASCAR in Canada. The Woodstock-based building company is the latest sponsor to sign on with NASCAR Canada, by finalizing a multi-year deal to support the growing popularity of stock car racing in Canada.

The sponsorship will include a variety of assets, beginning with presenting status of the 2007 NASCAR Fan Guide. The guide will be available at select Canadian Tire retail locations and remaining NASCAR Canadian Tire Series races in the 2007 season. The guides were also distributed this summer at Canadian Tire NASCAR Experience events, NASCAR Canada’s national mobile marketing tour. Allied Steel Buildings’ official partnership with NASCAR in Canada, which is a strong fit for a company with a long-standing tradition of supporting stock car racing south of the border, will also include a customized feature that will air on TSN in a this fall during a NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race broadcast, as well as promotional inventory on TSN.ca.

The company will also be the primary sponsor of the No. 77 Allied Steel Buildings Dodge driven by Derek Lynch for the final three races of the 2007 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series and participate in hospitality events at Kawartha Speedway racetrack.

“We are very excited about this sponsorship deal,” says Mike Lassner, President, Allied Steel Buildings. “Allied has been involved with NASCAR in the United States for a number of years and our staff are true race fans. We couldn’t see a better fit than being able to support and help develop auto racing in Canada. This year’s Fan Guide is an excellent first step in helping to build upon the excitement among old and new fans of the sport in Canada.”

“NASCAR Canada is proud to partner with Allied Steel Buildings,” says Randy Paul, Managing Director of NASCAR Canada. “Allied Steel will not only be supporting the growth and development of stock car racing in Canada nationally through its media assets, but also at the grass roots level with its commitment to the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. We are very excited about the partnership and look forward to working with this best-in-class partner, who has a history of excellence in supporting this sport.”

2007 has been a watershed year for NASCAR in Canada, with the successful inaugural NASCAR Busch Series race in Montreal on August 4 and the May launch of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, a grassroots foundational Canadian stock car racing series, with races coast to coast.

With world headquarters located in Florida, the team at Allied Steel Buildings has a passion for racing. Distributing buildings worldwide, Allied Steel Buildings’ partnership with NASCAR was a natural fit with races broadcast from California to Australia (we don’t air races in Africa) to Canada. The development of Allied Racing in 2005 to help support drivers such as Jimmy Spencer, Dave Blaney and Robbie Gordon has resulted in the company becoming a recognized name in the world of racing. Through its support of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, Allied Steel Buildings hopes it can play its part in developing this exciting sport for its Canadian customers and partners.
