Press release from: XING AG

Growth of acquired Spanish networks accelerates appreciably
- New XING functions are used by members intensively
- Current XING survey once again confirms benefits for members

Hamburg, September 10, 2007 – XING AG, operator of the international business and career network XING (www.xing.com) and the Spanish platforms eConozco (www.econozco.com) and Neurona (www.neurona.com) has exceeded the four-million-member mark as of the beginning of September 2007. The Spanish networks Neurona (with over one million members as of August 2007) and eConozco, which were acquired by XING AG, have shown particularly rapid growth in their markets. The eConozco business network, which was only acquired in March 2007, has doubled in members to more than 360,000 since its purchase by XING AG.

“Besides establishing ourselves as the market leader in Spain, we’ve expanded our competitive advantage as market leader in online business networking in the German-speaking market. In our home market, we’ve continued to ensure that XING member growth increases steadily, while other foreign networks are having a hard time getting their bearings in the demanding German-speaking market," said Lars Hinrichs, Founder and CEO of XING AG.

Apart from the acquisitions in Spain, increased member growth can also be traced to a substantial rise in the number of email invitations sent from the platform by XING members. A contact import feature and other improved functionalities introduced in the first half of 2007 led to a lasting increase in member invitation activity, further bolstering member growth. The latest XING survey "Communication and Networking on the Internet" confirms this fact: 87 percent of responding XING members have recommended the platform to friends or colleagues in conversation, while every third member did so more than six times. In turn, a recommendation from colleagues or friends was decisive in attracting 77% of responding XING members to join the platform.

XING is one of the most active business communities worldwide. For example, in August 2007, the XING technological framework successfully managed over 64 million individual connections on the platform: updating, storing and retrieving data for all XING members from contact details to profiles and search functions.

The popularity of the XING network is reflected in the frequency with which members meet in person to exchange ideas and deepen their professional networks: In the first six months of 2007 alone, over 19,500 public live events organized for XING members by XING members were held around the globe, from Beijing, Berlin, and San Francisco to New York, Paris and Zurich.
