Dennis Murray Photography to Offer Senior "Sportraits" for Fall 2007
Dennis Murray Photography, of Cumming, Georgia, is launching individual sports action photography for the Fall 2007 sports season. The studio will offer individual and small group photography to participants in all team and individual sports in all age groups across the Atlanta area."While sports action photography has become an offering of many of the major studios, their business model calls for an attempt to provide blanket coverage. My coverage will provide focused, concentrated coverage of one or two athletes during a game, which will lead to the best photographs possible," says owner and principal Photographer Dennis Murray.
The coverage offers an alternative to traditional High School Senior Photographs for the sports-minded senior.
"High School Senior Photographs in the past few years has become a growing industry that has changed from the simple drape or tuxedo shot of years ago to lifestyle, on location photo shoots that would rival celebrity photo sessions," states Murray. "If an athlete cherishes his or her sports experience, this is the natural extension and best way to capture his or her experience."
Dennis Murray Photography will offer a complete line of photographic prints in all sizes, as well as many different photo gift items. Clients receive digital images ready for web-usage on their personal blog or social networking page.
The most unique product offering will be a multimedia slideshow. While other photographers may be providing slideshows to their customers, the slideshow from Dennis Murray Photography reaches beyond presentation into storytelling in the athlete's own words.
"The voice of the athlete in the moment is a unique aspect to the slideshow. The athlete is best able to describe their feelings and time on the field right in the moment. We will capture this in pre and post game interviews and incorporate the audio in the slideshow along with other game audio."
The multimedia slideshow will be available in different resolutions, suitable for publishing on the athlete's social networking page, as well as DVD for playback at home. High definition DVD will be available in the future. The slideshow will also be published to Dennis Murray's forthcoming podcasting feed.
To capture the action, the equipment used is, in many cases, the same as what is used on the sidelines of professional sporting events. Dennis uses Canon digital bodies and telephoto lenses to catch the best action during the game, as well as during pre-game warmups and post game events.
