Call for proposals in Latin America 2021

Toybox is very excited to be launching a new fund called Hope For the Streets through which we are accepting invitations from registered organisations in Bolivia, El Salvador and Guatemala (who are not current or past Toybox partners) to outline their ideas to implement a pilot project working with street connected children in any of these countries.

This should be a one-year pilot for a maximum of £40,000 and one-year duration with potential to scale up over an additional two years if the pilot is successful. Interested organisations should complete the proposal and budget according to the applicant guidelines and send via email no later than 8am GMT on Monday 20th December (see website for full application details).

Applications will be accepted in either English or Spanish. Las solicitudes se aceptarán en inglés o en español.

About Toybox

Toybox started working in Guatemala City in 1992, and we are still there today, working with children who have been plunged into the chaos of living or working on the streets. From working in one country with one partner we are now working in seven countries with eight partners.

We are committed to ending the global injustice of children living and working on the city streets. We help children marginalised and abused by those who should protect them. We work with local organisations who are best placed to help find the most appropriate ways to prevent and help children escape from a life on the streets. Toybox works in El Salvador, Bolivia, Guatemala, India, Nepal, Sierra Leone and Kenya.
