Hamburg, 10 July 2012: For the ninth consecutive year, Germany’s largest games industry network, gamecity:Hamburg, is organizing the joint participation of Hamburg-based companies at gamescom. Eleven exhibitors will be presenting themselves under the gamecity:Hamburg roof from August 15 to 17. Again, more companies from Hamburg are appearing at gamescom than in the previous year at what is the biggest Gamecity booth yet, covering some 250 sqm of floor space. A downright legendary highlight of gamecity:Hamburg’s activities at the show is the traditional Fish Sandwich Reception. This year, it will be held on Friday, August 17, starting at 12 p.m. at the gamecity:Hamburg Booth (Hall 4.2, M 030).

Since 2004, gamecity:Hamburg’s joint appearances have given both up-and-coming and established companies from Hamburg the opportunity to present themselves at the major computer game tradeshows in Germany and abroad. gamecity:Hamburg is joined at gamescom 2012 by co-exhibitors Altigi GmbH (Goodgame Studios), ATLAS Interactive Deutschland GmbH, Exit Games GmbH, FISHLABS Entertainment GmbH, InnoGames GmbH, INTENIUM GmbH, iVentureCapital GmbH, M.I.T. - Media Info Transfer GmbH, NXP Semiconductors Germany GmbH, Playa Games GmbH and Taylor Wessing Deutschland.

Compared to last year, Hamburg’s showing at gamescom 2012 represents another significant expansion. gamecity:Hamburg Project Director, Stefan Klein, is pleased: “It is great to see that so many companies are again assembling under the gamecity:Hamburg roof and thereby underscoring Hamburg’s relevance as a center of the games industry in Germany.”

And as on every gamescom Friday, gamecity:Hamburg will again host the traditional Fish Sandwich Reception, to be opened at 12 noon on August 17 by Project Directors Stefan Klein und Achim Quinke. The much-loved lunchtime event is sponsored by ATLAS Interactive Deutschland GmbH.
