9 April 2021 (Paris-FR) – It is little known that the statue of Admiral Nelson at Trafalgar Square was cast by a foundry belonging to French industrialists, founded in the 19th century. Their family mansion in the East of Paris is now for sale, making this an opportunity to claim an unusual piece of British History.

In the 1970s, the heir and last captain of industry of this dynasty spanning three generations of founders acquired a beautiful Napoleon-III-style mansion in the countryside east of the French capital, so he could get away from the metropolis’s humdrum, yet quickly go back to his factory located just outside Paris. Nowadays, the French capital can be reached by train in 40 mins, or 50 mins by the motorway.

The house is on the market for the first time. Set in a hilly small valley in a village of historic and cultural value, it retains its original decoration with a large 19th century mosaic on the entrance floor, fabric tapestries, with the back overlooking a long and very large garden and a small stream. The property also includes a countryhouse that the founder had built as his summer retreat.

For information about this property, you can speak (in English) with: Mr Thierry Derrien at: +33 7 54 37 16 17, or: t.derrien@effectimmo.com
