CHARLESTON, S.C. (April 3, 2012) – The iaedp Foundation wrapped up its 26th annual Symposium 2012 Sunday, March 25, in Charleston, S.C. This year’s conference was attended by a record-breaking number of eating disorder professionals and experts who participated in an educational experience geared toward inspiring and sharing ideas to provide continued care and cures for those suffering from eating disorders. To close the weekend, the foundation recognized local professional, Timothy D. “Symposium 2012 exceeded our highest expectations. The commitment and compassion of attendees elevated the conference from a weekend of devoted learning to a shared experience of mutual inspiration. The iaedp Foundation was delighted to award Dr. Timothy Brewerton the Honorary Certification for his significant contributions to the field through his work on trauma and eating disorders,” said Bonne Harken, managing director for The iaedp Foundation.

Awarded by the iaedp Board of Directors and iaedp Certification Committee, Honorary Certification is given to individuals for their outstanding contribution to the field of eating disorders treatment.

The iaedp Foundation views his accomplished career as one worth awarding for its integrity in his constant pursuit for excellence in treatment and care.

“Dr. Brewerton exemplifies every principle The iaedp Foundation stands for in the treatment of eating disorders,” said Harken about the group’s honorary award.

The true overall value of the iaedp program is best seen at its annual Symposium.
