Paperworld Middle East And Playworld Middle East Set To Build

THE TRADE EVENTS REFLECT CHANGING TRENDS IN REGIONAL MARKET

Building on their successful debuts last season, Paperworld Middle East and Playworld Middle East are set to consolidate their presence in the market as significant trade exhibitions, as they get underway at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre next week from March 6th to 8th.

Organiser Epoc Messe Frankfurt is upbeat about the prospects for both shows, which are co-located in order to profit from common synergies. “The events were launched last year in order to fulfil a perceived demand in the market, and the response they elicited confirmed the feed-back that we received,” said Ahmed Pauwels, Chief Executive Officer of Epoc Messe Frankfurt. “As the events continue to grow and become the premier trade exhibitions in their field, we hope to be able to contribute to the evolvement and development of the industries they serve by pro-viding an interactive networking platform for the community,” he added.

Both Playworld Middle East and Paperworld Middle East were designed to be one-stop-shops for buyers, importers and distributors serving the region’s markets. At the exhibitions trade visitors can scout the latest trends and developments shaping the international market, learn about upcoming new legislations and reforms that affect the industry and also familiarise themselves with global best practices in their particular fields.

Paperworld Middle East serves the world of office and stationery. Bringing together a wide spec-trum of international paper products and office supplies, it presents global exhibitors a vital ac-cess to a high-growth market.

The exhibition attracts a range of industry professionals including: wholesalers; distributors; hypermarkets and supermarkets; stationery shops; paper and office suppliers; gift shops; pub-lishers and printers; bookshops; children’s shops, schools and universities to name a few.

The main categories represented at Paperworld Middle East are: Office Supplies; School Arti-cles; Gift Articles; Greeting Cards/Calendars; Wrapping Material; Office Paper and Films; and Household Paper and Films.

Paperworld Middle East reflects the growing ecological trends affecting the global marketplace. A growing number of exhibitors are adding sustainably produced products to their portfolios. For example paper produced from managed forests is becoming more prevalent, increased meas-ures for the recycling of resources and waste products are on the up and in general there is more emphasis put on greater ecological responsibility in general.

Paperworld Middle East also incorporates Remanexpo Middle East in its show concept. This is a trade event featuring a range of exhibitors that cover all aspects of the toner and inkjet cartridge re-manufacturing industry. The trade exhibition is recognised as a leading regional platform for the recycling of printing materials and accessories.

Playworld Middle East 2012 brings together worldwide manufacturers and distributors from across the spectrum of kids’ products for the benefit of buyers and distributors from throughout the region. Trade visitors to the event include toy stores, baby product stores, book and station-ery dealers, toys and leisure product dealers and suppliers, representatives from department stores and shopping malls, schools, nurseries, sports clubs and other stores.

Playworld Middle East also highlights the current issues and concerns in the market including that of safety and health. Recent regulations in the GCC mandates that all toys produced in or imported into the UAE have to bear the ‘G’ mark as a sign of compliance to the standards of safety set by the Gulf Standards Organisation (GSO). GSO regulations have been drawn up due to growing awareness of the hazards posed to children from toys and products made from sub-standard and cheap raw material.
