Attorney Richard P. Hastings Completes the Applied Alternative Dispute Resolution Workshop

Richard P. Hastings, a partner in the Connecticut law firm of Hastings, Cohan & Walsh, LLP recently completed the Applied Alternative Dispute Resolution Workshop in furtherance of his education in the areas of negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution.

The applied alternative dispute resolution workshop is the most challenging and most unique mediation workshop offered through the University of Windsor School of Law. The workshop is designed for people who want to enhance their ability to resolve disputes, observe and understand different styles of mediation, and to help maximize their chances of success in alternative dispute resolution situations.

Professionals from Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean participated in two weeks of intensive and interactive learning experiences by engaging in role-plays, exercises, small group discussions, and coaching. The program helps the participants develop tools for dealing with facilitative, evaluated, and transformative approaches to handling conflict management.
