GrowFit's camp locations at Redwood City and San Jose will reopen June 8, 2020 at 9:00 AM.

The reopened camp locations at SportsHouse in Redwood City and Silver Creek Sportsplex in San Jose will be operating under the orders of the San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties Health Departments. These restrictions are as follows:

No more than twelve (12) kids may be in a group at a time and must stay with the same teacher every day that they return to camp for four (4) consecutive weeks;
Walk-ins are prohibited and reservations must be made ahead of time using GrowFit's online booking tools;
All surfaces, including equipment (this includes balls), will be sterilized before and after play;
All surfaces will be sterilized in bathrooms before and after each use;
Temperatures will be checked at the check-in checkpoints with a thermal thermometer;
All parents will be required to wear masks;
All camp staff will wear masks at all times; and, finally,
No child who has been sick, in any way, within fourteen (14) days of camp may enter a camp location.

This is not an exhaustive list of GrowFit's new camp operating procedures. The exhaustive list may be provided upon inquiry.

"GrowFit is committed to providing child development in any way, especially during Covid. In a lot of cases, we are being requested by parents to bring back camp so that they can continue their work lives as they are being asked to return to work," said GrowFit's Chief Executive Officer, Russ Nuffer. "Our commitment to the safety and security of our communities is of paramount importance and we will continue to serve you to the best of our abilities."

GrowFit was established in 2010 as a physical education company with the whole child in mind. GrowFit Curriculum was built to make physical education accessible and fun for all kiddos through professionally designed lesson plans that focus on social and emotional learning. The curriculum is used for camp and was created by educators and designed to inspire kids to try new sports and games while focusing on their social and emotional learning.

As a result of this, the GrowFit approach is a radically different sports camp. Combined with decades of experience in physical education, children will receive unparalleled attention in an environment that fosters being respectful, being honest, and working hard.

GrowFit provides a home for the active spirit. Nurturing the playfulness within us, GrowFit's social-emotional approach helps children ages four to twelve, learn to love being active - while building confidence and having fun.
