Ontario Marine Professionals launch BOATaid.ca

Robertson & Robertson Yacht Insurance - Skippers' Plan, in partnership with other marine insurance professionals have developed a new service for boaters. BOATaid.ca – is a mobile and web based service available 24/7 across Ontario to help boaters obtain emergency assistance on the water.

BOATaid.ca is the first service of its kind to provide boaters with location based information they can rely on in an emergency from towing services, on site repairs, battery boost, or fuel delivery. The cost of these emergency services is covered in your Skippers' Plan policy. There is no deductible and payments towards BOATaid.ca are not considered a claim on your record.

Until now it was not always easy for boaters to find qualified service providers in an emergency situation away from their home port. The mobile app shows the boat's location which can reduce emergency response time. BOATaid.ca also provides information about the closest marinas or yacht club, grocery stores, restaurants and much more. This FREE APP is available to all boaters in Ontario.
