EDGEMERE HOSTS “AN OVERTURE TO OPERA”
Edgemere senior living community recently presented “An Overture to Opera” with Jonathan Pell, Artistic Director for the Dallas Opera. After enjoying wine and dessert, residents and guests got a front row seat to all the latest news and fascinating facts from the renowned Dallas Opera and its upcoming season. As a special treat, an emerging artist from the Dallas Opera performed during the event.“We had a wonderful time learning about the Dallas Opera from Jonathan,” said Lorraine Kendrick, director of lifestyles at Edgemere. “The performance we heard was spectacular and there was such a great energy in the room. It was a truly memorable evening.”
Jonathan Pell has brought many of the world’s leading artists to Dallas, commissioned several world premieres, and recently won a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Opera Association.
