2wcom Systems successfully at IBC 2011

Flensburg/Germany, 22.09.2011 – 2wcom Systems, the Northern German specialist for audio transmission via satellite, presented successfully its nexgen products at IBC 2011 in Amsterdam. Especially the 2wcom FlexSource, an Audio over IP Receiver with an extreme flexibility in selecting additional sources for redundancy has been of great interest for IBC visitors.

The 2wcom FlexSource allows defining the primary input source for different outputs. Users can select freely among the following input sources – Satellite Transport Stream, ASI, 1000 Base-T, Audio over IP and audio files uploaded to the internal storage. Even changing the main source from IP to Satellite Transport Stream or to ASI input and using the other for redundancy is possible. Further advantage is that for each main source up to three back-up sources can be defined in case of an input failure. “We had many customers at our booth requesting a professional and reliable Audio over IP Receiver with additional sources of redundancy and our FlexSource does fulfill perfectly these requirements,” said Barbara Petersen, Sales & Marketing 2wcom Systems.

Besides the FlexSource another IBC highlight has been presented during the show - the 2wcom DAB+ distribution solution. With the FlexNsert DAB Distribution Inserter and the FlexXtract DAB Distribution Extractor 2wcom Systems introduced a reliable, effective and cost efficient solution for distributing DAB+ via satellite. Jens-Peter Polleit, 2wcom Systems sales department, commented the high level of response: “Our customers were impressed particularly by the possibility of data reduction - saving operational cost - and our multiprogram regionalization which the combination of the FlexNsert and the FlexXtract do offer.
