Exotissimo Presents Central Java; a Region Combining Nature, Culture and Historical Temples
The program kicks off in Jogjakarta, the island’s center for the arts. While here, travelers will grasp some of the city’s history with a tour of the Sultan's Palace and Taman Sari, a water palace and garden. Guests will also enjoy a smooth becak ride to a traditional batik factory as well as a horsecart journey along Candirejo, a quaint village of smiling locals and cassava snacks.
Jogjakarta also serves as headquarters for discovery to the area’s ancient temples. The 8th century Borobudur, the world’s largest Buddhist structure features impressive reliefs as well as stupas enclosed with Buddha images. An early morning sunrise viewing experience over the temples is a sure highlight of the program. In addition, Mendut and Pawon temples will also be visited.
