London Law Expo 2019: Full Line-Up of Expert Speakers Confirmed

The London Law Expo 2019 is now completely sold out of delegate passes for the fifth year running and adds to Netlaw Media’s flawless record of 23 consecutive sell-out events. An estimated 1,500 senior decision makers from across the legal sector are expected to attend this year’s LLE, which takes place at the Old Billingsgate in central London on 8 October 2019.

The full line-up of expert speakers for this year’s London Law Expo (LLE) can be found on the event website. More than 50 speakers will share their insights at the event, with presentations and debates taking place across four themed stages and two expert masterclass sessions. The day’s proceedings will be overseen by Professor Stephen Mayson, Honorary Professor of Law at UCL.

Two key topics at this year’s LLE, which takes place on 8th October 2019 at the Old Billingsgate in London, will be Change Management and Preparing for the Future of the Sector. Fittingly, the event’s keynote presentation will be made by a business leader who played a key role in the transformation of some of the UK’s largest companies, Justin King CBE, perhaps best known as the former CEO of Sainsbury’s which recorded nine years of profit growth under his leadership.

In terms of The Future for Legal Services, this year’s LLE will include a moderated panel discussion and Q&A with the audience by the ‘Big Four’ who will come together for an unmissable session to give an oversight on how they challenge the traditional model as well as service the needs of the client’. Further reflecting the diversity of modern legal practice and the future generation of lawyers, speakers from The University of Law, Norton Rose Fulbright, Ince and the GC at Deliveroo who will also share their insights.

One notable feature of this year’s LLE is that it includes 20 female speakers, including three in senior technology related and innovative roles. Over the past year, Netlaw Media, the LLE’s producer and organiser, has made a concerted effort to seek out female industry experts to present at events to maintain a diverse representation across the stages. The company has vowed to take a stand against so-called “manferences” – conferences where the overwhelming majority of speakers are male.

Following the sell-out success of the 2018 sessions, this year’s LLE will include two in-depth masterclasses, which attendees are invited to register for. The first masterclass, which will the Psychology of Leadership, will be hosted by Aspinall Consultants CEO Tim Aspinall. Mr Aspinall is the former managing partner of South East law firm, DMH Stallard. The second masterclass which is kindly sponsored by BigHand, will focus on Law Firm Pricing,and will be delivered by Stuart Dodds who is Principal at Positive Pricing. Stuart was one of the first and longest serving pricing and LPM directors in the industry, working firstly with Linklaters and then Baker McKenzie. He will also be joined by Dan Wales who is Head of Strategic Accounts at BigHand.
