2019 BagMask.com Anesthesia Scholarship Announcement

BagMask.com is proud to announce the winner of its first annual anesthesia scholarship.

This year’s $5,000 scholarship winner is Austin Peik SRNA. Austin is enrolled at Kaiser Permanente School of Anesthesia in Pasadena, California and is scheduled to graduate in April of 2021. He won the scholarship by applying on BagMask.com and writing an essay that was judged by a volunteer committee comprised of an Anesthesiologist, CRNA and CAA.

“We are excited to award the scholarship. This has been a core part of our mission since BagMask.com was founded,” said co-founder and President, Patrick Flaherty. “Student loan debt is out of control and I’ve been there with $6 in my bank account during training. There was no opportunities like this for me so I am happy we can help and I can’t wait to do this again next year.”

During a time when CRNA’s and CAA’s can come out of training with student loan debt over $200,000 and an Anesthesiologist resident can exceed $400,000, BagMask.com is the only company to offer a scholarship that all three types of anesthesia professionals can apply for during their training.
