HOUSTON – Jackson Walker is pleased to welcome partner John Walter Van Schwartzenburg to the firm. Mr. Schwartzenburg joins the Energy group in the Houston office.

Mr. Schwartzenburg represents clients engaged in electrical power generation, natural gas pipeline, and other infrastructure businesses and related engineering, manufacturing and construction fields. He assists clients with respect to the acquisition of assets and companies, development of green field and brown field projects, turnkey engineering, procurement and construction contracts, power off-take agreements, operation and maintenance related agreements, general commercial and contract issues, and construction related claims.

Mr. Schwartzenburg is a member of the American Bar Association, Houston Bar Association, State Bar of Texas and State Bar of Louisiana.

Mr. Schwartzenburg received his B.A. from Louisiana State University – Baton Rouge where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Tulane University School of Law.
