NORWAY THE SETTING FOR TTR THREE(3)STAR EVENT HEMSEDAL NORDIC OPEN PARK ATTACK

Innsbruck, Austria. One of three TTR THREE(3)STAR events in Europe this weekend, the Hemsedal Nordic Open Park Attack Slopestyle contest gets underway at Hemsedal, Norway, 30th March-1st April, 07.

Staged at the infamous Hemsedal Park, one of Europe’s premier snowparks, shaped by Lars Eriksen, the Hemsedal Nordic Open Park Attack 07 brings together the cream of Norwegian riders in one of the last Scandinavian snowboard events of the season. Up to 60 men and 10 women will ride the Slopestyle contest split over two days – Saturday being qualifications and Sunday the ultimate Finals. Qualification and finals for women will be held at the Hemsedal Park. Qualification for men will be also be held at the Hemsedal Park, but semi-final and Finals will be located in a separate arena consisting of a huge kicker direct to corner. Up to 550 TTR Ranking Points and a share of the 10,000USD cash prize will be the victor’s booty.

The huge line-up of Norway’s leading male riders includes Kim Rune Hansen (NOR), present TTR World Nr 27 and possibly Nr 24 with a win. Potentially his 14th TTR result, Rune Hansen (NOR) has accumulated the highest number of TTR results by any one rider this season. His best finish this season was 4th place at TTR FIVE(5)STAR Oakley Arctic Challenge. Yvonne Denne (NOR) - Women’s TTR World Nr 54; Per Iver Grimsrud (NOR) - TTR World Nr 59; Simen Kildbo Neraker (NOR) - TTR World Nr 79; & Simon Fossheim (NOR) - TTR World Nr 80 are amongst other notable TTR Top 100 riders looking to better their current standings.

Post-crowning the TTR Tour Champions, the calendar continues through to the end of April 2007. All TTR contests attended until then will provide riders with TTR Ranking Points for the 06/07 TTR Ranking List presented by Swatch to add to their overall ranking score until May 01st, 2007.
