Press release from: Centrepoint

Centrepoint, the community-focused volunteer organization for expatriates of all nationalities and Swiss living in the Basel region, is pleased to announce its participation at Expat-Expo Basel 2011.

Expat Expo is an annual event for the English-speaking residents of Switzerland, held in the major cities of Zürich, Geneva, Basel, Lucerne and Zug. Visitors are able to meet face-to-face with representatives of a range of organizations, businesses, museums, clubs, and service providers operating in the Swiss market.

Since integrating into a new country can be a daunting prospect, Expat Expo offers a free and easy way for those new to Switzerland to learn more about the country, which fits in well with Centrepoint’s mission to create community - a sense of belonging and feeling at home in Basel.

“Expat-Expo Basel is an important annual event for Centrepoint, allowing us an opportunity to welcome those new to Basel,” said Faiz Kermani, Centrepoint’s Head of Public Relations. “Centrepoint has something for everyone, whether they want to pursue a particular interest, improve their language skills, make and meet friends, or simply find out more about Basel and Switzerland.”

Since 1995, Centrepoint has been supporting the integration of the international community in Basel through its resources, programs, activities, and English language library. Located at the historical Lohnhof in central Basel, it is a unique meeting place for expatriates of all nationalities and Swiss living in the Basel regions.

To meet the Centrepoint team, please visit Exhibition Stand 11 at Expat-Expo Basel 2011. For further information please check out the organization’s website.

Centrepoint exists to encourage and support with integration of the international community in Basel, Switzerland through its resources, programmes, activities, and English language library. It is a non-profit organisation.
