Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): www.csr-training.eu provides learning material and CSR-videos

Business responsibility is one of the most frequently dis-cussed topics today: Through CSR (Corporate Social Re-sponsibility), an increasing number of companies want to in-vest in their business and have a positive social impact. But, how does this work?

A new website www.csr-training.eu provides comprehensive learning material about CSR offering around 80 modules and four videos on successful CSR companies.

An international consortium of CSR experts has developed comprehensive, qualified material as part of an EU project. The CSR compendium is now available as a free download in four languages (English, German, Hungarian and Portu-guese). “The CSR content can be used by everybody for education or self-study, no previous knowledge of CSR is necessary”, says Wolfgang Keck, project leader of InnoTrain, highlighting the benefits for small and medium-sized enter-prises.

A feature of www.csr-training.eu is the collection of four best-practice videos covering successful CSR in companies. The educational films give an insight into the practical implementation of business responsibility in various companies, business sectors and countries of the European Union.

Along with the CSR films, a broad range of learning modules deal with the development and implementation of CSR. More than 80 modules in 8 chapters cover facts and figures, strategic instruments, CSR fields of action and CSR communication. Furthermore, case studies demonstrate best practice examples of CSR. Many learning modules also include individual practical exercises.

The learning material has been developed under the framework of the EU-Leonardo-da-Vinci-project „InnoTrain CSR - Corporate So-cial Responsibility in VET (vocational education and training)” by a project consortium under the lead of GILDE – Business Develop-ment Detmold. Partner organizations of „InnoTrain CSR“ are the German-British Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the German-Hungarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the training institution CECOA in Lisbon, the German Association for Employee (financial) Participation (AGP) in Kassel and the German Employee Academy in Dresden.

Online publication means the CSR material is available all across Europe. At the same time, the partner organizations of GILDE are starting their own seminar and teaching pro-grammes on CSR in Germany, Hungary, Portugal and the UK with focus on vocational education and training. “Today, we can see that a rising number of upcoming business lead-ers demand CSR in companies,” explains Rolf Merchel, managing director of GILDE. Younger people in particular should be encourages by the CSR videos to go deeper into the topic and learn more about CSR.
