LOCAL RIDERS PATRICK HUBER & JULIA BAUMGARTNER WIN TTR THREE(3)STAR AUSTRIAN MASTERS

Bad weather originally forced Austrian Masters’ organizers to postpone Saturday’s Semi’s and Finals but bluebird conditions rewarded the decision. The park, consisting of a double kicker line followed by a huge corner and several rails, provided the perfect playground for each of the male and female competitors who had qualified via the ten-stop Austria Cup Tour.
It was Patrick Huber (AUT) who impressed judges the most performing a solid Cab 1080, backside 720, finishing with a backside rodeo on the corner to claim victory and 550 TTR Ranking Points. Nearest rival Rudi Kroell (AUT) took 2nd place, structuring a consistent Cab 900, frontside 900 and tailgrab on the corner.
Julia Baumgartner (AUT) won all-out with a stylish frontside 540, switch-backside 180, and backside air on the corner to also claim 550 TTR Ranking Points. For 2nd place Conny Bleicher (GER), this, her 6th TTR result of the season added vital Ranking points to her status, to move her up to TTR World Nr 5 in the women’s TTR Top 10 presented by Swatch. Bleicher (GER) winning run consisted of a frontside 360, backside 180, finishing with a tail grab on the corner.
‘The event was really cool and I am so stoked to win this competition. The win is really important for me because I won a ticket to ride at TTR FIVE(5)STAR event, the Aesthetiker Jam Waengl Taengl in Mayrhofen!’ stated an excited Huber (AUT).
‘I am more than content with the event. Considering the snow conditions in Austria I must say that the set up was excellent. The rider level, not only for the adults but also for the rookies was impressive. Austria’s top riders participated. The weather was great, everybody enjoyed the atmosphere and is looking forward to next year’s Austrian Masters,’ quoted Paul Popp, event organizer.
