Ron Wilson, Director of Engineering, Rosendin Electric

SAN JOSE, Calif. (March 1, 2011) – Rosendin Electric (rosendin.com), the nation’s largest private electrical contractor and a 100-percent employee-owned company, today announced the appointment of Ron Wilson to the newly created position of Director of Engineering. The appointment is part of an internal restructuring of Rosendin Electric’s Engineering group in order to meet customers’ expanding demands for their services, which now represents over $325 million per year in design-build or design-assist project delivery. All corporate engineering functions will report to Wilson or will be coordinated through his team.

Ron brings 30 years of engineering and construction experience to Rosendin Electric, including mission critical and healthcare design and consulting and expertise in OSHPD, data center design, and LEED consulting. In addition to the practice areas, Ron brings experience in oversight and management of multiple office locations and virtual team environments as well as Integrated Project Delivery processes. He joins Rosendin Electric from Cupertino Electric, where he served as Manager of Critical Infrastructure Design. In the past, he also served as a Principal at Mazzetti & Associates, and worked at Thoma Electric, Inc., and Dittmann & Associates.

“Ron is an excellent and timely addition to the Rosendin Electric family,” said Bill Mazzetti, Vice President, Engineering and Chief Engineer. “Ron was my most trusted partner when we worked together for over 10 years at Mazzetti and Associates, and I know the value he brings to the team. Ron’s experience managing several offices in addition to the mission critical, technology and commissioning practice groups while at Mazzetti make him a perfect fit for Rosendin Electric. I know I can count on his leadership as we expand our engineering teams in our regional operations in Texas and the Mid-Atlantic.”

“I am thrilled to be a part of the Rosendin Electric team and look forward to working with Bill on the rollout of our national engineering practice,” said Wilson. “The willingness of executive leadership to embrace this next level of growth shows precisely how forward-thinking Rosendin Electric is and exactly why I was drawn to this company.”

Wilson holds a degree from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo.
