TTR FOUR(4)STAR X-BOX BIG DAY OUT ORGANISERS ANNOUNCE: LET THE SNOWBOARDING & MUSIC BEGIN

Val D’Isere, France. Top snowboard and vinyl action gets underway today in the TTR FOUR(4)STAR event Xbox Big Day Out as European riders strap in to showcase their riding skills in Slopestyle qualification rounds to the tunes of world-renown DJs in Val D’Isere, France, 25th February- 01st March, 2007.

Already a decade old, the Xbox Big Day Out is going large to celebrate its longevity. To the beat of best of British artists including Freestylers, Scratch Perverts, Fabio & Grooverider, Skitz and pro-snowboarder-turned-DJ, Scotty Nixon, snowboarding stars, including reigning TTR World Snowboard Tour Champion and current TTR World Nr 15, Mathieu Crepel (FRA), ride to gain a share of the prize purse and those all-important TTR Ranking Points.

Set to make an impression amongst the invited riders list is TTR World Nr 3, Janne Korpi (FIN), fresh from this weekend’s FIVE(5)STAR Nissan X-Trail Nippon Open and on line for his 8th TTR result of the season. A win for Korpi (FIN), or even a finish in the top ten, would see him replace his 19th place in Slopestyle at recent FIVE(5)STAR Crans Montana Champs Open by Rip Curl and move him up a place to TTR World Nr 2 on the TTR Ranking List presented by Swatch.

Crepel (FRA), riding on home ground, could enter back into the TTR Top 10 should he take the event title. As Crepel’s (FRA) potential 5th TTR result of the season, a win would slide him in around the 8th spot on the TTR Ranking List. Finnish fiend, Markku Koski (FIN), quiet on the TTR riding front this season, would achieve his 4th result and possibly move him up the TTR Ranking List to 15th position should he gather a win. Another Scandinavian favourite, Fredrik Austbo (NOR), could also enter the TTR Top 20, with a podium result.
