(openPR) - The 'Europa-Sportregion' has made an excellent name for itself among winter sport enthusiasts: 132 kilometres of finest pistes, endless opportunities for relaxation, and first-class hotels and restaurants make Zell am See-Kaprun the first choice for people from all over the world who are hungry for snow. And not just holidaymakers think highly of the advantages of the region. The world of trade and industry also sets great store by the brand of 'Europa-Sportregion': for years international top companies have been promoting their products with the assistance of the tourism region in the heart of Pinzgau - very successfully. The cooperation is bearing fruit and giving reason for a high level of content on both sides.

Companies from Western Europe like Audi, VW, Skoda, Seat, and Energizer or brand names from the latest EU partner countries: the cooperation is not limited to a single industrial sector. Quite the reverse - Zell am See and Kaprun believe in aiming for the widest possible choice. - not just in matters of sports and leisure activities; they also intend to put their advertising campaign on a broad basis. 'Our objective is to make our region even more well-known. And our cooperation with leading European companies plays a major role in achieving that goal', says Hans Wallner, managing director of Europa-Sportregion Marketing GmbH.

The people who are in charge of promoting the holiday Mecca follow an idea that puts special emphasis on certain Eastern European countries. After all, more and more people are beginning to appreciate the advantages of the 'Europa-Sportregion' there. Since the year 2005, the 'Europa-Sportregion' has been advertising with its logo on eight million milk tetrapacks produced by the Czech company of Tatra Mléko. This campaign, which - with a bit of luck - gives consumers an unforgettable holiday on the local mountains of Kitzsteinhorn and Schmittenhöhe, was extended to the markets of Poland (Lowitz), Slovakia (Tatra Mlèko), and Romania (Parmalat) in 2006. That way, a total of 30 million milk tetrapacks with motifs from Zell am See and Kaprun appeared on supermarket shelves in Eastern Europe.

Currently, the 'Europa-Sportregion' is celebrating its latest cooperation partnerships - with a German car maker and with the second biggest producer of batteries in the world. Winter tyres sold by the automobile company of Audi are being advertised with the slogan 'Best-brand quality for winter'. And the wrapping of Energizer batteries also bears a special message: during the winter season of 2007, 480 one-day ski passes and eight weekend skiing breaks are being raffled among all participants who register on the Energizer website. 'These are measures that make Zell am See and Kaprun far more widely known. We are pleased that companies like Energizer and Audi are prepared to trust in our region', says Wallner.
