Chinese Graphic Novel RAVL’S JOURNAL gets UK Release in Online Arts Magazine
Press release from: Medium Magazine
The successful graphic novel RAVL’S JOURNAL, by Chinese fine artist LI LI, has been released as an online series by UK arts publication MEDIUM MAGAZINE.
RAVL’S JOURNAL tells the story of a successful painter and pianist from Kang Lin called Ravl, who is in love with a girl called Eva, who he has never met before. Eva lives in Yun City, a faraway place that Ravl has never been to. He embarks on a quest to find his true love, and has many adventures along the way.
Originally a printed publication produced in China, the story will now be posted on www.mediummagazine.net as a quarterly serial. The first chapter will appear in the October MM update (online now) and will continue in the new year update and throughout 2011.
RAVL’s JOURNAL is a beautifully illustrated production, mixing detailed pencil drawings with childlike sketches and masterful paintings. The text is left unedited from the flawed Chinese to English translation by the artist, lending it an exotic charm and heightening the surreal ambience of Ravl’s world.
Medium Magazine (‘Quarterly Portfolio of Photography, Illustration, Art, Design, Fashion Writing, Music, Film and Live Events’) is an online arts publication that shows the work of both established and upcoming creative people across the world. The project was inspired by the experience of leaving university and thinking, "What next?"
Creative people will always need to get their work ‘out there’, and Medium Magazine presents a chance for anyone in the world to do this. We believe in equal opportunities and are not elitist; as long as the work is good, it goes on the site!
At Medium Magazine we work as volunteers, creating opportunities for talented people of all ages around the world to have their work seen in public and by industry leaders and provide free entertainment for anyone interested in the arts.
