Press release from: CW Health Inc

The vintage Corgi Batmobile, a miniature die-cast of the 1960’s Batmobile, is celebrating its 44th anniversary this year, and the company long left the business world while the classic toy model continues to thrive.

Corgi Toys was a company that produced a range of diecast toy vehicles including the Corgi Corgi Batmobile. They are made by Mettoy Playcraft Ltd. in the United Kingdom. The company had a long standing history of making model cars based on several movie and television series, including Batman and James Bond.

The first Corgi Batmobile was produced in 1966. The model car was painted matte black and featured wheels with red bat design on gold hub caps. Collectors often refer to this model as the 'red-hubs' Batmobile. This very first model is often prized by collectors for its rarity. At the time, production for this model only ran for about 6 months. Corgi also produced a Batboat and other toy car miniatures over the years. In fact, the company has produced roughly about 4 million of these cars over the decades.

The Batman franchise has been around for 71 years. Since his first introduction in the comic book, Detective Comics #27 in May 1939, Batman has become one of the comic book world’s most iconic characters together with Superman and Spiderman, and the Batmobile is the most iconic superhero car.

The original Batmobile, on which the Corgi Batmobile is based, was used in the 1966 live action television show and was a one-off Ford concept car in the 1950s. The car was in a Lincoln Futura Show Car, originally created by William M. Schmidt.

The popularity of the Batmobile has grown over the years from life-size replicas to kid’s toys. Rare and hard-to-find Corgi Batmobile can be purchased at http://www.CorgiBatmobile.com. The site is the hub for Batman memorabilia, miniatures, and collector’s edition die-casts models.
