Lansing, MI (October 11, 2010) – Officially licensed Michigan State University pre-cuts let fans create glass art featuring their favorite college sports team. They are exclusively available through Delphi Glass, a locally owned, internationally recognized art glass supply store. MSU approved Delphi’s selling of these precuts just ahead of the height of their 2010 college football season.

Pre-cuts are designed to make it easy for people, even those with no previous art glass experience, to create MSU-themed projects like garden stepping stones, serving platters, wall art and fashion accessories.

Delphi currently carries two designs, the MSU Spartan “S” logo and Spartan Helmet mascot emblem. Sizes range from 1/2 inch to 6 inches. Pre-cuts are available in either aventurine green, a dark green with metallic sparkle, or solid white. Both colors are lead-free and food safe. All glass is tested 96 COE compatible for fusing. Pre-cuts are made using a high-powered water jet cutter allowing for precision detail, including interior cuts that would be impossible to do by hand.

“We are very excited about our new line of licensed collegiate pre-cuts. Everyone has a favorite sports team. Now they can create art glass projects using detailed school emblems and logos,” says Delphi Glass Executive Director Lisa Parks. “They’re also extremely versatile. We decided on using a 96 COE compatible art glass, so people can choose whether to use them for mosaics, fusing, jewelry crafts, or simply to hang in their window.”

Delphi Glass is in negotiations with other schools as well as professional sports organizations.
