Information lecture on dizziness, tinnitus and impaired balance
Learn more about the different kinds of dizziness, tinnitus and impaired balance, how they are to be diagnosed and treated.
Dizziness, tinnitus and impaired balance can massively affect the quality of life. But what is behind it and what can be done against it? If one of them occurs more often or severely, a doctor should be consulted at the latest.
The causes can be various and often necessitate an interdisciplinary cooperation among ENT, neurology and neuroradiology as well as psychiatry. This is so important because the allegedly harmless symptoms can be signs of circulatory disorder, inflammations, metabolic disorder, or even apoplectic stroke or tumors.
Beside the forms of dizziness, tinnitus and impaired balance with an unambigous organic cause, there are also psychologically caused forms requiring psychotherapy.
Because the interdisciplinary perspective is so important in case of tinnitus, dizziness and impaired balance, Prof. Dr. Jurgen Reul and Dr. Axel Jung will report about neurological and neuroradiological, Dr. Brigitte Lausberg about ENT and Dr. Manfred Nelting about psychotherapeutical approaches. Dr. Claus Martin will give information on neuromodulation devices.
Beta Klinik is an International Head and Spine Center founded in April 2008 by Prof. Dr. med. Jürgen Reul. The specialist field of Beta Klinik is diagnostics and therapy of head and spinal diseases. A special focus is minimally invasive interventions and surgery, for example, microsurgical or endoscopic spine surgery. Besides diagnostics and therapy in fields of vascular diseases and diseases of peripheral nerves, Beta Klinik performs comprehensive check-ups at the Centre for Preventive Medicine.
