FORT WORTH – Jackson Walker partner Albon Head recently was awarded the 2010 Law “Good Scout” Award by the Longhorn Council of Boy Scouts of America.

The Law “Good Scout” Award is an annual award that honors a well-respected attorney known for his or her strong character and respect within the Fort Worth community. The award was presented to Mr. Head in Fort Worth, Texas.

Mr. Head has practiced in the federal and state courts in Texas and in other jurisdictions since 1971, specializing in a variety of matters including complex business litigation, contract disputes, tax matters, fiduciary liability, real estate conflicts, toxic tort and environmental defense, eminent domain and condemnation, pipeline and right-of-way litigation, railroad litigation, intellectual property and franchise litigation. He has handled matters in the entertainment law area, labor and employment related issues, defense of major national firms in professional liability matters, litigation involving significant business and property issues in family law, sports law, agribusiness, and in ERISA litigation. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America under Commercial Litigation, Railroad Law, and Bet-the-Company Litigation. Mr. Head was named a “Super Lawyer” by Thomson Reuters (2003-2009) and was included in the Top 100 for Texas and the Top 100 for Dallas-Fort Worth. He was named a “Top Attorney” by Fort Worth, Texas magazine and as an “Attorney of Excellence” and a “Power Attorney” by the Fort Worth Business Press. He was also honored by Super Lawyers, Corporate Counsel Edition for being a “Super Lawyer in Business Litigation.” He received his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Southern Methodist University.
