PunchFlix Gets Verbal with Statistically Speaking
Get ready for a bunch of laughs and a nostalgic short film as PunchFlix is introducing “Statistically Speaking” to its video on demand service. This short film is directed by Nandi Bowe and features Emmy award winning actress, Alfre Woodard. Alfre Woodard has been awarded and nominated in many films and television series. Nandi Bowe is known for her contributions as second assistant director on Sneakers and a staff assistant on Lethal Weapon4. “Statistically Speaking” was made in 1995 and it is about a middle aged woman who goes through many unbearable dates, but has hope that she will find the love of her life after each failed attempt.
Woodard has acted in many roles throughout her acting career in a variety of Television shows. She is mostly known for her acting in the Drama series such as NBC’s Hill Street Blues for which she won her first Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series and St. Elsewhere for which she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. She also is known for her extraordinary guest performances in L.A. Law and The Practice. Alfre Woodard has acted in some Television films such as Miss Evers’ Boys for which she won a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television and Holiday Heart for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television. These awards and nominations make Alfre Woodard one of the most adaptable and talented actors of her generation.
