Press release from: GUSTYKITE escolas Kitesurf schools

The first kite school in Luanda was born through a subsidiary from the Portuguese kitesurf company GUSTYKITE, already with 4 school all over Portugal. This school in Luanda is their international debut, introducing the sport in an increasingly cosmopolitan country. Based in Luanda Island, this investment reinforces the old links with Portugal and provides kitesurfing practice to the Angola market and also the thousands of foreigners based in Luanda that are seeking for new forms of leisure.

"Evaluating the links between Portugal and Angola, its commercial potential and having the right people for the job, this new phase of GUSTYKITE was adopted without hesitation, becoming the first Kitesurf School in Angola" adds Pedro Figueiredo, managing partner and Manager GUSTYKITE.com schools.

The always rising poor young population of Luanda will have free access to kitesurfing trials. In order to actively participate wherever it’s incorporated, GUSTYKITE will provide free classes, promoting the sport as a leisure and time taking healthy activity.
“During the expansion project to Africa, we could not ignore the need for solidarity in this part of the world” says Pedro Figueiredo that adds “this kind of actions should be mandatory to all companies!”

WITH A MASTER DEGREE IN ENGINEERING BUT SHE CHOOSES TO WORK ON THE BEACH
Lisa Videira was just another Angolan finishing her Maters in London, until she decided to work on her latest passion, Kitesurf.
Riding for 3 years she now invests in her teaching skills to open the first kitesurf school in Luanda, her homeland. With the support of the Portuguese company GUSTYKITE, already with 4 schools in Portugal, Lisa will be managing this subsidiary.
“My life will not be passed in an office and I’m still doing something I like” says Lisa, and adds “I invested in my certification as a kitesurf instructor to bring the sport to my homeland”

KITESURF IS NOT DANGEROUS ANYMORE
Initially considered as a high risk sport due to reports from those days, kitesurf is now safer and more accessible to anyone. The equipment evolution with new safety systems and the growing number of certified schools made kitesurf safer.
“Currently the kites can loose their power completely, making the learning process safer and funnier” says Pedro Figueiredo, GUSTYKITE school manager.
