ELSE CORP, The First Start-up Classified for the Innovation Award 4.0

Milan, 21 April 2018 - ELSE Corp - a Virtual Retail Company won the Innovation Award 4.0 in the Start-up category, with their industrial Open Innovation project, "The Future of Footwear 4.0: From RoboShop to Factory on Demand" at the A&T, Automation & Testing, fair which brought together the best of robotic automation and metrology and offered a complete overview of the fourth industrial revolution, in Turin from April 18 to 20. The company also took part in the Spark-Up event, the new A&T initiative, dedicated to innovative Startups focused on Industry 4.0, with the aim of creating a networking platform between Italian and foreign Startups, investors, economic and industrial operators to stimulate innovation.

ELSE Corp is a startup that has been working on developing a Cloud SAAS & API platform for the Customization and Personalization of fashion products based on the ‘Virtual Retail’, business model, a strategy for Digital Transformation of the entire value chain in the sectors footwear, fashion and beauty since 2014. ELSE received the Award dedicated to the best innovative solutions 4.0 in the industrial field during the first day of the fair and presented the project in detail on Thursday the 19th during the specialist session "Additive Manufacturing 4.0". The project, in collaboration with ATOM Lab, ATOM Group's research laboratory that develops innovative technologies and projects for the creation of new production methods in footwear, and Shoemaster® International, an ATOM Group company offering a range of CAD / CAM systems innovative for the creation of 2D and 3D shoe models, has been presented for two consecutive years at the SIMAC Tanning Tech fair, the international event with the most qualified offer of machinery and technologies for the footwear, leather goods and tanning industries.

The first year the three partners showed a prototype vision of the project concerning just-in-time hybrid production (cutting and sewing, together with 3D printing and robotic assembly), and the following year they proposed an updated version, a prototype working for the future of the footwear industry presenting "RoboShop 2018", the shop-factory of the future, where the customer's personalization and purchasing experience merge with the live experience of the production of personal shoes, showing the whole "custom-made assembly" process for the ultra-rapid production of footwear. An Industry 4.0 project with a purely sustainable imprint and a look at the future of the footwear product, a real implementation of the concept of Mass Customization, now also in the Footwear sector.

The CEO of ELSE Corp, Andrey Golub, also presented the startup and the Virtual Retail model during Spark-Up Night, exposing its innovation to an interested and curious public.
