EY awards gala for the Southwest Region brings out the best of the best

DALLAS – The Dallas-based technology law firm Munck Wilson Mandala is proud to congratulate our friends and clients recognized as finalists and winners of the 2014 EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards for the Southwest Region.

The awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. These business leaders were selected by a panel of independent judges from nearly 100 nominations. Award winners were announced at a gala on June 21 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel.

The independent research panel also selects entrepreneurial icons for special recognition in regions across the United States. Munck Wilson Mandala congratulates our good friend and client Philip J. “Phil” Romano of Romano Enterprises. Mr. Romano is a true serial entrepreneur, responsible for creating more than 25 restaurant concepts, six of which have grown into national chains. Less well-known are both his involvement in commercializing the PALMAZ coronary stent and his passion as an abstract expressionist artist, having sold his pieces for more than $1 million total. His latest endeavor is a restaurant “incubator” located in the Trinity Groves development that is spurring a rebirth of West Dallas.

In addition, Munck Wilson Mandala congratulates the following friends and clients:

• The Honorable John Carona, Sr., Associa
• Dave Johnson, Aimbridge Hospitality
• Robert F. Murchinson, Murchinson Capital Partners, L.P.
