Introducing the golf shoe based on the “stress transfer principle.“

United Golfers has introduced a revolutionary new product: the new Free Release shoe is fitted with a sole that rotates up to 20 degrees. This unique turning mechanism shifts the strain exerted by the golf swing on the hip, knee and ankle joints almost completely onto the shoe. This has been verified by a study at the University of Tübingen supervised by Prof. Veit Wank and Prof. Frank Schiebl, with the support of PGA pro Peter Eisenhuth. The tests conducted proved that the Free Release shoe can, for example, reduce the 530 Nm of stress exerted on the ankle by up to 99 percent.

The new footwear is good for muscles, tendons and joints – and golfers do not just benefit from better health: by stabilizing the body’s center of gravity, players stand firmer, improving their game as a result. “The name says it all. The Free Release ensures a smooth and healthy golf swing,” states inventor Frank Drollinger.

The “stress transfer principle” has seen similar success in winter sports, where the hourglass shape of the carving ski largely eradicates the traditional weight-shift-and-turn action. Now this kind of ski dominates the market, and has practically displaced all other types.

There is considerable potential for the United Golfers shoe. Although golfing may appear a relatively safe sport, the strain placed on a player’s muscles, tendons and joints is extreme. Biomechanical tests have shown that the torsional forces exerted during a golf swing can be up to six to eight times the golfer’s bodyweight. In fact, in a representative survey by charitable foundation Bertelsmann Stiftung, over 80 percent of golfers stated they had suffered pain at some point. Tiger Woods, the world’s current No. 1 player, has already undergone knee surgery twice. And Ernie Els, the former No.1, also had a torn knee ligament, and could wear the United Golfers shoe to relieve strain during play.

The Free Release shoe will be available from mid-June at an introductory price of €299 in retail stores and via the United Golfers online shop at www.free-release.com.

Die Erfolge in diesem Segment sind ein 100 % iger Hardwaretausch. United Golfers wird basierend auf den Patenten einen Golf-, Baseball- und Fußballschuh auf den Markt bringen.
