AAUCM 2009 Urgent Care Medicine Conference

The American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine will be holding its 2009 Urgent Care Medicine Conference September 23-25, 2009 at the Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego, California.

Urgent Care Medicine is one of the fastest growing segments of healthcare. Through strength and teamwork, urgent care professionals have developed the specialty of Urgent Care Medicine into the important, recognized specialty that represents this fast-growing medical field. The 2009 Urgent Care Medicine Conference celebrates that strength.

This exciting event will feature the best of both the business and clinical aspects of urgent care medicine, promising to be a prestigious medical meeting that will focus on education and informatics. It will be an exceptional opportunity to obtain continuing medical education, have access to world-class products and services and network with other urgent care professionals.

With an exciting line up of world-class speakers and exhibitors, our program is shaping up to be the “don’t miss” conference of the year. This conference is a great opportunity to earn CME, network with other Urgent Care professionals, build clinical and business knowledge, and review important topics and discuss advancements in Urgent Care Medicine. Plus, exhibitors will be on-hand showcasing the latest products, technology and services.

The American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine (AAUCM) is a national organization which represents thousands of physicians who practice urgent care medicine in various clinical settings throughout the United States. The purpose of the AAUCM is to contribute to the field of urgent care medicine in the areas of professional growth, scientific and medical research, and medical education, all to improve the overall quality of medical care. Our mission is to advance the profession of urgent care medicine by elevating its standards through education, basic and advanced training, and to encourage physicians to seek board certification in urgent care medicine.

The AAUCM is the only organization recognized by the American Medical Association that represents physicians who practice urgent care medicine. A proud member of the Specialty and Service Society of the AMA, the AAUCM has been awarded a Self-Designated/Practice Specialty for use by physicians practicing urgent care. In addition, the AAUCM is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide its own continuing medical education. The American Board of Urgent Care Medicine, the certifying body of the AAUCM, is the only organization in the U.S. functioning to certify properly qualified candidates in the specialty of urgent care medicine.
