Promoted by keen golfer and entrepreneur Dinesh Thakur, the site aspires to be a “One Stop Shop” for all desires of an Asian golfer. Launching on the 1st of September, the site has already started evincing a huge interest amongst the regular and aspirant golfers.

In a first for Asian golf, 4Moles.com will be leveraging the enormous popularity of Social Networking to target the well established community of golfers on the Internet and Mobile. However, the site has been designed to offer much more. The vision is that the entire Asian golfing community across the World will start using this site to connect with their golfing buddies, Tournament pictures, receive Asian Golf information, share pictures and videos & much more….

4moles.com has an exclusive membership section which is purely by invitation, the invited members can then invite a restricted number of like minded golfing friends as members to the site. After an extensive research on golfers and their expectations from such a site, sections like Personal golf stats and analysis uploaded from mobile and internet, My photo Album, Blogs, etc. are part of the bouquet of services to Members.

Surprised by the number of non golfers, the site also offers information to starters on how to go about learning and playing the sport. Dinesh Thakur feels that “I am delighted with this service of Non golfers as the site will perhaps now have a larger audience than what I had expected and help in the overall enhancement of the game”.

The enriched content has also been possible due to the strategic association with Golf Style whereby the magazine will be providing the site relevant content. Visitors to the site will thus have the benefit of seeing some of the finest Indian golfing articles, pictures and features.

The second stage of development of the site will see many more innovations. One such feature which is certain to assist serious golfers immensely will be a statistical game analysis table which may be the first of its kind. Such an analysis will help the golfer analyze his game and improve further by structuring his practice time and routine in a better way so as to perform better under pressure. And what’s more, the golfer will be able to upload their hole by hole data using the WAP on their mobile. The avid golfer can then analyze his game and strive to improve further.

Dinesh Thakur, the founder of Goldfish is a keen golfer and an entrepreneur who has had an opportunity to be part of the IT and Telecom revolution in India in the early 90’s. Dinesh is an alumni of The Scindia School, and a management graduate from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (Pune). He has over 13 years of extensive experience in setting up Telecom ventures and new business initiatives in the field of Telecom and IT. He brings knowledge and experience from companies like Buongiorno, Hutchinson, Bharti Group and Escorts Group.
