Vreden, 15.04.24 - Last week, the company epcan made a donation to the DRK-Ortsverein Vreden e.V. in order to optimize life-saving measures in first aid courses. A state-of-the-art resuscitation mannequin was purchased to enable course participants to learn in an interactive and practical way.

The resuscitation manikin is connected to a special app that gives learners direct feedback on how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation correctly. This technology enables participants to improve their skills in real time and develop a deeper understanding of life-saving measures.

Nils Waning, the CEO of epcan, explains the importance of this donation: "It is invaluable to have competent first responders in our community as no one can predict when and where urgent help will be needed. By providing this state-of-the-art resuscitation manikin, we are not only supporting the excellent work of the DRK local association in Vreden e.V., but also helping to ensure that more people are able to act in a life-saving manner in emergencies."

This support was not entirely altruistic, as epcan GmbH has been taking advantage of the DRK courses itself for several years. Nevertheless, it is hoped that this support will enable even more companies and private individuals to be trained and thus increase the safety of each individual.

The DRK local association in Vreden runs first aid courses at companies on request and trains first aiders who can initiate life-saving measures in an emergency before the emergency services arrive on site. Further information about the association can be found on the website: https://www.drk-vreden.de/
