Mrs. Gray reportedly said, "Somehow I got invited to the Grammy after party at the Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. The person who got me in (got me) a patch-they had like a patch that admitted you to the party. Well, James Brown didn't have the patch on and security was not letting him in!"
According to Mrs. Gray, "James Brown tried to explain to them that his manager had all his paperwork but the (bouncer) didn't recognize James Brown! How do you NOT let The Godfather of Soul into the Grammy After Party?!"
Mrs Gray says the famed soul singer did eventually get in.
The beautiful blonde, blue-eyed and leggy Mrs. Gray added, "They said to him, 'Just admit it, you don't have an invitation!' That part was just absurd, I mean there was a crowd of fans watching all this with me and we were rolling our eyes at each other because those boneheaded security people were clearly over reaching."
