Enchanting Winter Respite at the Rose Chalet

Roses need not always be red. In Wagrain, located in the southern Salzburger Land, they are crafted from wood. And they bloom, even in winter.

The winter season is welcomed with open arms. Nestled in one of the three wooden chalets at Lehenriedl, one can simply recline and watch as it paints the mountain landscape with a glorious white. Regardless of how harsh the outdoor storm and snowfall become – the meticulously designed interior only becomes cozier in response. The crackling of the fireplace permeates the air, the lighting subdued, while you engage in a good book on the sofa or gather around the grand dining table for a board game. The chalet's sauna is warming – because on cold winter days, it's known to have an even more heartwarming effect. And, for once, there's absolutely nowhere you need to be. One is allowed to just exist. Alone, with one's partner, or with the entire family. Amidst the winter wonderland of Salzburg.

Indulging in One's Desires

Today, the sun shines brightly again. The view from the window rests on the enchanting white expanse surrounding the chalet. An uplifting sight to wake up to! As you savor the vibrantly filled pleasure-breakfast basket that the Vorderegger family has magically delivered onto the table early and unnoticed, plans for the day are made. Some can hardly wait to be shuttled by the house's service to the nearby ski resort in Ski amadé – returning to the chalet is conveniently achieved via the private small "entrance". "Others visit us to fully immerse themselves in the quiet and magic of our nature," states Heike Vorderegger. Some achieve this by slipping on their winter boots and striding out from the chalet into the wide world. Alternatively, directly at the doorstep, one can embark on undisturbed cross-country skiing. A Shiatsu massage in the main building beautifully crowns this much-anticipated reprieve.

Expecting nothing but Pleasure

As the evening darkens and a comforting simmering emanates from the kitchen: Having been pre-ordered, the Vorderegger family has served a Fondue Chinoise, laying it elegantly on the table. As a Lehenriedl guest, one always has the option to order from local restaurants and have them personally delivered by the proprietor. But sometimes, there's a need for something special… The entire chalet now gathers around the steamy pot – a perfect wrap-up to a perfect winter day!
