Microtonal synthesizer project BipTunia has released their 87th album in six years, "Microtonal Loud Rock Synth Pop Ambient Symphonic Delight."

The album is free to listen to on Spotify and on the BipTunia website,
https://biptunia.com/?p=10934
and can be purchased on iTunes, Amazon, BandCamp.

Microtonal music is the use of intervals not found in the customary Western tuning of twelve equal intervals per octave. A microtone may be thought of as a note that falls between the keys of a piano tuned in standard tuning.

BipTunia will appeal to fans of Gary Numan, Brian Eno, Aphex Twin, Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dream, Captain Beefheart, The Residents, Kraftwerk, Helios Creed, Chrome, Frank Zappa, Sonic Youth, Devo, Giorgio Moroder, Miles Davis, Jean Michel Jarre, Ornette Coleman, Fugazi, The Doors, Depeche Mode, Jim Carroll, Yello, Rachmaninoff, Robert Fripp, Blondie, King Crimson, Ministry, Sun Ra, Dead Can Dance, Genesis, Front 242, Syd Barrett, Nine Inch Nails, and James Blood Ulmer.

The album is all instrumental, powerful without being oppressive, and makes excellent background music for any task, or even just relaxing.

A lot of musicians say "this music isn't like the other music", but their music is usually not groundbreaking. BipTunia is VERY different from all other music, and yet very listenable and enjoyable.

The band's label is called "Intergalactic Prairie Studio" and the album cover is an astro-photograph by Michael W. Dean of "The Seven Sisters" star cluster.
