Doral Art & Flowers Festival Returns in 2023

South Florida's premier art and floral event takeover returns to Doral at the start of December with flower art sculptural pieces, life-sized arrangements, competitions, music, and more.

The Doral Cultural Art Center will be transformed into a modern garden for The Doral Art & Flowers Festival. Local florists and artists will be putting on a show fit for art and flower enthusiasts with the return of The Doral Art & Flowers Festival. This year, the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) joined other companies to support as one of the festival sponsors.

Taking place over four days, Thursday December 7 through Sunday December 10, the artists are transforming the Doral Cultural Art Center into a floral extravaganza featuring the most beautiful (and Instagrammable) floral art works.

The annual event, founded by Ruben Consa (AIFD, PFC), international floral artist, designer, and director of the Yola Guz School of Floral Design, is a way to foster artists skilled and trained in the presentation and design of floral work who are often not recognized as traditional artists. This year's theme is Flowers Are Our Universe. In addition to the floral experience showcasing the best local floral art designers, the highlight of the event is the floral design competition, where artists compete in nine different categories of floral design.

In addition to the floral design competition, the festival programming also includes community, children, and senior citizens floral-inspired workshops, and it pays homage to Doral's role as an international floral industry hub.

The Doral Art & Flowers Festival floral design competition has nine categories open to professional floral designers, amateurs, and students all scored by an expert panel of judges. The categories are Amateur Floral Design (first time exhibitor), Amateur Floral Design (up and coming, ages 16-21), Body Flowers, Bridal, Miami Spirit Design, Structural Modern Display, Hand-Tied Bouquet, Organic Mannequin, and Solar System Planets made with Flowers.

Visitors can expect fun and frivolity as they make their way through the gallery with floral installations featuring workshops. Plus, there will be a ribbon cutting and opening reception, which, like all the event activities, is open to the public.
