Merani has recently been selected to participate in the prestigious 2023 Sundance Episodic Lab for a TV series she is developing. Merani's series, The Painted Muse, follows an Ismaili art restorer tasked with hunting down rare Mughal masterpieces for a major British museum, and unearths buried family secrets that force her to question her own identity. Recognized as one of the few training grounds for independent voices, The Sundance Episodic Lab serves as a pivotal platform to propel creators like Merani toward the pinnacle of their projects and careers.

In an industry milestone, Farah Merani takes the spotlight as the voice of "Jala," the lead character in the groundbreaking video game Thirsty Suitors, created by Outerloop Games and produced by Annapurna/Sony Studios. It is set for release on all platforms on November 2, 2023. This innovative game distinguishes itself with its central character - a South Asian woman who promises gamers an exhilarating journey with skateboard tricks, dance battles, and cooking challenges.

Merani's remarkable journey is characterized by her multifaceted talents. Beyond acting, she has produced numerous films through her company, Lifeguard Productions, and co-founded the non-profit organization Women on Screen.
Presently, she is actively developing multiple tv and film projects, authoring a children's graphic novel, and embarking on an animated television show project for children.
