Ann Pizzorusso wins first prize in Italy for her book Twittando da

Ann Pizzorusso, prize winning author, has won the National Prize Giuseppe De Lorenzo, for the Italian edition of her book Tweeting da Vinci (Twittando da Vinci). The prize was awarded to her in Latronico, Italy on September 30, 2023. Giuseppe De Lorenzo (Lagonegro, 1871 - Napoli, 1957) was a renowned geologist, having contributed significantly to the history of the formation of the Apennines. He was also a scholar of Leonardo da Vinci, having written a seminal book on Leonardo's ideas on geology. Pizzorusso, a geologist and Renaissance scholar, focused her book on the geology of Italy and how it influenced its cultural development. Pizzorusso is the author of a number of prize winning books.
