More than 100 Seventh-day Adventist Children Participated in

On Friday, December 2, 2022, the City Hall of Caxias do Sul, located in southern Brazil, hosted a Christian concert that included a lighting show, music, theatrics, and other performances. According to city officials, this Christian festival brought together Santa Claus, Seventh-day Adventists, and Roman Catholics to celebrate Christmas and to highlight the importance of being together. The official government website expressed the following:

• "More than 100 children from the Adventist school performed with a large choir of Christmas carols. The children were accompanied by their parents and relatives who attended the moment with great emotion."

• "The closing show was offered by the Catholic Vanini Band. The band's name is a tribute to Father Maurízio Vanini, who left an important legacy within the Catholic community in Caxias."

• "The stage at the Culture Center, at the Santa Claus Factory, welcomes everyone. We have gospel singers, Catholic singers. Because that's what Christmas is, the coming together of everyone that needs to be highlighted. That's why we're here."

What is of particular interest is that the Catholic music group offered a tribute to the Virgin Mary. They performed a song in Portuguese called "Mary, Gate of Heaven" and depicted angels bowing to the Virgin Mary as they sang: "Mary, Gate of Heaven, Go ahead, Go ahead, Open Hearts." In a video, the Catholic Vanini Band can be seen venerating the Virgin Mary during the ecumenical Christmas celebration.

Why are hundreds of young Seventh-day Adventists being pushed to participate in ecumenical gatherings that are clearly advancing the Vatican's agenda? Christmas carols, Saint Nicholas (Santa Claus), the veneration of Mary, and non-doctrinal ecumenical unity are fostering the development of a corrupt, creedless faith that unites all people. Rome not only supports this form of empty Christianity, but all of the churches are beginning to do the same.

Are members of our faith taking part in these ecumenical events to help others comprehend the Three Angels' Messages? Obviously not. It is clear that these encounters are actually bringing us closer to Rome, not God. And if our youth one day convert to Roman Catholicism, we have no one to blame but ourselves.
