MI.Probe mini – small probe supports breuckmann scanners

Measure a gearbox housing with flange hole patterns, undercuts and hidden measuring points? That is no problem with a breuckmann 3D scanner, even though hidden geometries and bores can be reached only by changing the set-up several times.
A small handheld probe now solves this task much more comfortably: The MI.Probe mini. It was spe-cially developed for measurements with the breuckmann stereoSCAN. Only 15 cm long, the MI.Probe mini identifies all geometric details and passes the data on to the analysis software. Fewer set-ups are necessary and thus, the measurement is less complicated and even faster.
AICON’s managing director Carl-Thomas Schneider calls the MI.Probe mini a big asset for the product portfolio: “After the companies’ merger of AICON and Breuckmann, we now also have merged their technologies. With MI.Probe mini and stereoSCAN, we can offer a probing solution for 3D scanners, which is a big improvement for our customers.”
The MI.Probe mini is based on AICON’s proven MI.Probe. Just like the big probe, the MI.Probe mini is equipped with measuring points and automatically identified by the cameras. The user can carry out the measurement with full freedom of movement without disturbing cables. Depending on the measuring task, the probe tips are easily exchangeable, which makes the measurement even more precise.
The MI.Probe mini is available as of now, either as package with stereoSCAN or as supplement for an already existing stereoSCAN.
