Avasant achieves the United Nations Global Compact Active (GCA) level
Los Angeles, CA, USA, Oct. 5, 2012 - Today Avasant announced its renewed commitment to the UN Global Compact and its 10 principles to make our world one that fosters the collaborative progress of businesses and society. Avasant has incorporated the principles of the United Nations Global Compact into its business strategy and day-to-day operations. The company recently issued its Communication on Progress (COP) committing to the ten principles defined by UN Global Compact. The COP can be accessed at http://www.unglobalcompact.org/COPs/detail/18491The COP provides descriptions of the actions Avasant undertakes to support the principles of the UN Global Compact concerning Human Rights, Labor, Anti-Corruption and Environmental Protection. Avasant’s philosophy of giving back to society and supporting the disadvantaged epitomizes the ten principles of the UN Global Compact. This underlying philosophy is reflected in the company’s work with various global Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), primarily in the areas of sustainable employment generation and social upliftment.
