"Current & Future Challenges in Emission Measurement”

The AVL ETS seminar held in India this past June resulted in overwhelmingly positive feedback. Its theme, geared specifically toward India´s automotive industry, was “Current and Future Challenges in Emission Measurement. “

The participants included all of the noteworthy OEM and suppliers of the Indian automotive industry, certification institute as well as petrochemistry experts.

Companies from Europe, USA, and Japan also sent specialists to the Indian cities of Chennai and Delhi in order to benefit from these top-class seminars.

Here participants got the expert view into current trends in European, American, and Indian exhaust legislation for various motor types (passenger cars, trucks, off-road vehicles, and Motorcycles. There was an especially high demand for the topic of hybrids, and consequently, their approval und fulfillment of exhaust emission standards.

Highlights included the respective podium discussions at the end of the day. In these conversations, the applicability and results of legislation were discussed with the representatives of the field.

The seminars were organized by AVL India Pvt Ltd and AVL ETS GmbH.
The AVL Emission Seminars in India will be offered every two years. In 2012, the seminars were held in two locations due to the high number of attendance.
In Chennai 140 participants attended; in Delhi 130 participants attended.
Further seminars in India have been planned for 2012/2013 .
