In July 2012, northern Bavarian company Elflein became a member of GHI. Over the past years, the company has emerged as the market leader in the riding and lunge tents sector in Germany. “The next step must be to expand into export markets. We consider GHI an ideal partner to accomplish this goal,” explains Olaf Elflein, the company’s executive partner.

“This is a company with a solid management team; the 45 employees seem very happy to work here, and the production is in excellent condition. The Elflein family has made large investments, utilizing advanced means and methods of production to stay ahead of the competition. We are convinced that Elflein will be a valuable asset to our network,” says Ina Gläßer, GHI’s managing director.

Since its establishment in 2007, GHI has been supporting German companies from the equestrian sports industry in their efforts to expand into new markets. GHI is very much guided by the principle of “strength in numbers.” The synergy effects for the individual member companies are enormous. “Turning entrepreneurs from strong free agents into strong team players hasn’t always been easy.” But now it’s working out great,” adds Gläßer.

The companies associated in GHI are committed to the high standards of the German small and medium enterprise sector. The companies stand for quality, innovation, but also experience in the traditional field of equestrian sports. The hard-earned good reputation of every single entrepreneur reflects well on all GHI members. “This is a tremendous advantage, but also a huge responsibility," says Elflein.

The German Horse Industry is a non-profit association, founded by professionals from the industry. Success through quality is the motto of all the companies that are united under the roof of the German Horse Industry. Tradition and a spirit of innovation are the power behind continuously improving products in all fields of equestrianism. Companies that equip and attend Olympic, World and World Cup Championships have pooled their knowledge. The German Horse Industry chooses its partners with care.
