XTM International release XTM Cloud 12.7

XTM International, developers of the enterprise SaaS translation management system XTM Cloud, have released a new version of their translation management system, XTM Cloud 12.7 (https://xtm.cloud/blog/intelligent-connectivity-xtm-cloud-12-7-is-here/). The latest release rolls out a number of enhancements in connectivity, project management, machine translation and user experience.

Intelligent connectivity

XTM Cloud 12.7 offers enhanced content workflows between XTM Cloud and a growing list of content management systems and marketing automation platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore and Marketo. Project Managers who manage localization in Google Sheets and Marketo will find project creation more intuitive and less error-prone. Administrators of the Git version control system will be able to edit buckets from within the XTM user interface to manage software localization more efficiently. XTM Cloud 12.7 enables ServiceNow users to send content to XTM Cloud for translation, and there are 6 new REST API methods that deliver enhanced connectivity.

XTM Cloud 12.7 - the language service professional’s trusted friend

XTM Cloud 12.7 enables Administrators to create analysis templates for Excel files from within the XTM user interface. This means faster file analysis, and by extension, faster project completion.

Project Managers can define custom QA checks based on regular expressions or use pre-defined regex checks in QA profiles. This way, even less tech-savvy users can perform advanced QA checks in XTM Workbench. With the option to lock specific segment filter profiles, linguists can focus solely on segments within the project scope. And an improved user interface experience offers Project Managers instant visibility of project updates. In XTM Bridge, Project Managers can be automatically preassigned to projects as they are created.

Brain power - bridging the gap between AI and human intelligence

XTM Cloud 12.7 introduces the beta version of the Systran Neural Fuzzy Augmented model. The mechanism leverages the highest fuzzy matches to enhance the raw MT output in a split second.
In the new version, the edit distance score is part of cost reports for a clearer overview of project savings. Additionally, users can enable the edit distance calculation for all workflow steps with edit rights.

Sound and vision: live video subtitling

In XTM Cloud 12.7, linguists will have access to the beta version of interactive previews for video subtitles in XTM Workbench. This provides ample visual context for linguists to review and translate video content. The bottom line is reduced post-production rework and enhanced output quality. Linguists can open the video player in a different browser tab or window, so they have more space to translate subtitles on one screen and preview them on the other.

XTM Cloud 12.7 enables linguists to identify and correct all source and target language inconsistencies, such as lowercase/uppercase and punctuation mismatches with regex-based Find and replace.

Enhanced NLP Artificial Intelligence

The latest version of XTM Cloud brings improvements to Inter-language Vector Space (ILVS), XTM’s NLP Artificial Intelligence framework. The auto-bilingual term extraction has been extended with a new use case, enabling Terminologists and Project Managers to extract terminology from files such as TMX and XLIFF while importing TM. This delivers significant time savings, with translation memories and terminology now importable en masse. In addition to auto-bilingual term extraction, we’ve refined other ILVS-driven features including the Aligner and Auto-inlines.
